Just in time for Memorial Day, The Original Farmers Market is welcoming many additional Market merchants back into action to provide delicious, nutritious food and convenient hometown services to the community, just when they’re needed the most.
In accordance with the State of California’s newly announced Phase 2 guidelines for local businesses, The Original Farmers Market at Third and Fairfax is welcoming back many reopened merchants, including more than half a dozen restaurants, six of the community’s favorite retail stores, and several specialty food stalls. In total, more than 50 of the Market’s family owned-businesses are now open for business.
As an essential service, the Market has been open and available for fresh groceries, pantry items, and take-home family meals since the “Stay at Home” order was first instituted in mid-March. The Market has also adjusted its hours of operation to 10:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. daily (some merchant hours may vary) to continue providing delicious, nutritious food and convenient, hometown services to customers.
To maintain the health and safety of shoppers and merchant staff, the Market has added hand sanitizer stations throughout the open-air grounds, as well as additional signage reminding visitors that they are required to wear a face covering and maintain a six-foot minimum distance from others at all times.
