Congratulations to the staff at Pickett Fences, who outdid themselves this year by creating not only one amazing window — but two winning windows in the Larchmont Village Business Improvement District (BID) annual window decorating contest.
“Their dual Christmas and Hanukkah windows were enough to push them over the edge, but add their decorated entryway into the mix and they were too hard to beat,” said BID spokesperson Heather Duffy Boylston.
“They really wanted to do a Hanukkah window, we’d never done that before and they really had fun doing the windows,” said owner Joane Hennenberger Pickett, who added that her staff has all been working really hard to help a steady stream of customers coming in for last minute Christmas shopping.
“When the merchants put the extra effort into their holiday windows, it really helps to make Larchmont a destination for holiday shopping,” said Duffy Boylston.
The BID, which includes properties on Larchmont Boulevard between Beverly Boulevard and 1st Street, has been working since 1998 to maintain our village and its unique charm and sense of community. The holiday decorations on the street – and the holiday window decorating contest – are just one way the BID supports the retailers on Larchmont.
Congratulations to Pickett Fences…and stop by and take a look!
