A couple of locals are making news in foodie circles. Both are deserving of your attention!
Knuckle & Claw – Silver Lake
Windsor Square’s Chloe Dahl has opened a place where Angelenos can enjoy fresh lobster rolls – the kind people who summer on The Vineyard or along the coast of Maine look forward to as part of their vacation ritual. Knuckle & Claw, a joint concept of Dahl and her business partner Nikki Booth, opened a brick and mortar location in Silver Lake last month. The partners tested their concept at farmers markets over the past year – flying in fresh lobster daily from Maine, serving up delicioius eats and creating a loyal following. With this review in the LA Times, you’ll want to get there early to be sure you get some of that day’s supply.
If you can’t make the trek to Silver Lake (just west of Silver Lake Boulevard on Sunset, a 10-15 minute drive from the neighborhood at the right time of day) – you can keep them in mind for catering, too! Â See the link to their website below.

Go Get ‘Em Tiger’s Babinski Shines at World Barista Championships
For people who wonder why Larchmont Boulevard has become such a coffee mecca, a big part of the reason is the coffee shop Go Get ‘Em Tiger and the two dynamic barista-owners behind it. This past weekend, one of the owners competed in the World Barista Championships in Seattle – placing 2nd in the WORLD.
Just consider that…out of all the coffee baristas in the world, Larchmont Boulevard is home to someone who competes at the highest level. Congratulations to Charles Babinski on this accomplishment.
