It’s Girl Scout Cookie Time!

It’s Girl Scout Cookie Time!

We snapped this photo of Violet and Charlie selling Girl Scout cookies on Larchmont last weekend, with their parent’s permission, of course! If you missed your chance to snag some  of the classic, delectables, you’re in luck! Violet and Charlie, and their parents, will be back on Larchmont this Sunday selling cookies from 12-6 pm.

Selling Girl Scout cookies is a scouting tradition. I, myself, was a scout and sold cookies door to door in my neighborhood, though I think my parents were my best customers. Proceeds from the sales of stay with the local scouting troop to fund programs developed by the local scouts. The process of selling gives young girls a sense of what it means to run a business, albeit a small, temporary one. Nonetheless, it’s a memorable one and “your cookie purchase is an investment in the world-changing business leaders of tomorrow!” promotes the Girl Scouts official website.

But more importantly, you get to go home with cookies, and who doesn’t like that?
