Larchmont Barbershop Moving to Fairfax Avenue

George Hilario’s Larchmont Barbershop is moving to 401 1/2 S Fairfax Avenue, and expects to be open In January.

The Larchmont Barbershop has found a new home. Starting in January, you will find it at 401 1/2 South Fairfax Avenue (at 4th Street and Fairfax), owner George Hilario told the Buzz today.

Hilario will be re-opening an existing barbershop along with “the two Cesars,” he told the Buzz. Barbers Cesar Vasquez and Cesar Perez will joining Hilario at the new location. They are taking the Larchmont name with them, and will have the same phone number (323) 464-6659.

Another current Larchmont barber, Omar Douglas, will be moving to nearby La Coupe, at 7963 Beverly Blvd. (1 1/2 blocks west of Fairfax). You can reach him at 323-761-9661, book online at, or through Instagram @larchmontbarber. Douglas told the Buzz he is also available for house calls and for clients who want an outdoor haircut, which he offers on the front porch of his home nearby.

Hilario and his barbers have been scrambling this year, between the COVID-19 pandemic and losing their lease on Larchmont while the new property owner conducts a two-year renovation of the building. But Hilario told us he’s relieved to have found a new location. We are too!

While we are sad to see the barbershop leave Larchmont Blvd., we are very glad to hear Hilario and his business will be close by. We will keep you posted when he opens the shop. In the meantime, you can still visit the shop on Larchmont Blvd. until the end of December.
