CD 4 Councilmember David Ryu’s office has arranged for three electric vehicle chargers to be installed in the City parking lot on Larchmont Blvd. before the end of the year, according to an announcement sent out this week by Tom Kneafsey, President of the Larchmont Blvd. Business Improvement District. According to Kneafsey, the BID requested the City install charging stations on the street several months ago.
In other news, Kneafsey announced MAC Cosmetics has leased the former Crumbs space adding another beauty supply store to the street, all within the same block. Also, Bluemercury, which we earlier reported has leased the former Jamba Juice space, has completed its interior renovations…and its soft opening starts today (Friday, Sept. 16).
We also reported recently that a bakery is taking over the former Village Footwear space. Kneafsey confirmed that the bakery is Mr. Holmes Bakehouse, with an opening planned for 2017. The San Francisco-based bakery is best known for its “cruffins” (croissants baked in muffin tins, then rolled in sugar and filled with pastry cream). “We feel super honored to be a part of the neighborhood,” Rene Montelongo, brand manager for Mr. Holmes Bakehouse, told the Larchmont Chronicle recently. “Truth be told, we’ve been trying to swipe a space in the neighborhood for over a year, so it feels like a dream come true to finally join the Larchmont community.”
Looking forward to the new neighbors and services!
