LAPD Olympic Division Captain’s Corner – Meet Captain Pete Zarcone

Captain s Corner April 11 2013 YouTube

This most recent installment of the LAPD Olympic Division Captain’s Corner features Captain Pete Zarcone, Patrol Captain for Olympic Area. Captain Zarcone takes us through some of the events coming our way (including CicLAvia), the crime issues the Division is facing, and some ways the LAPD Olympic Division officers work to stay fit and trained to face everyday life as a member of the LAPD.

Also featured in the Captain’s Corner is Senior Lead Officer Heidi Stoecklein who highlights Olympic Division’s participation in BigSunday.org with Councilmember Tom LaBonge’s office and Wilton Place Elementary School.  The group will be painting the auditorium, benches and other areas of Wilton Place Elementary – in an overall effort to freshen up the buildings where so many children spend their days. Big Sunday is about building community through community service…and what better way to do it than to join together with LAPD, the City Council office and a local school. This event takes place on Sunday, May 5th at 10a and all are welcome to come out and participate in the painting!
