The LAPD Wilshire Division has sent out a Community Alert bulletin regarding a rash of daytime burglaries in the area. Neighborhoods just south of Wilshire have been particularly hard hit in recent weeks. Often a single suspect first checks out a home by ringing the doorbell while his colleagues wait in a car. The suspects jump walls and fences, and break windows or doors to access the homes. The attached flyer shows photographs of one of possibly four suspects that detectives believe are linked to previous burglaries in the area, and includes a photo of the automobile, a silver Jeep Patriot.
