The Bureau of Street Services (BSS) has repaired the section of Melrose Avenue between Gower Street and Larchmont – a section so bad that the curbside westbound lane was closed off by barricades for the past couple of weeks.
A 12 foot long section of tar just refused to stay put – shifting north towards the curb over a period of weeks. The pothole left in its place was deep, wide and dangerous.
This same phenomenon is repeated about a block and a half further west just before El Centro. The BSS is repairing that area this week.
Now that this lane is almost fully repaired – traffic on Melrose can flow freely again! Right??
