The holiday season is in full swing now in our neighborhood, and if you’re looking for an extra measure of good cheer, here are some events and opportunities worth checking out this coming week.
Brookside Holiday Wagon Ride & Neighborhood Caroling
On Wednesday December 13th, from 6 -8:30 pm, residents of the Brookside neighborhood are invited to join in the neighborhood’s annual holiday wagon ride and neighborhood caroling event. Participants should meet at the corner of 8th and Rimpau, full of holiday spirit and “ready to belt out some of your favorite seasonal tunes.” Neighbors who would like to request a song from the merry band of carolers should e-mail the Brookside HOA before the event.
Caroling with Rhodes School of Music
A second opportunity for holiday singing pops up, open to all who would like to participate, comes on Thursday, December 14, as students and teachers of Rhodes School of Music will be festively caroling in the Larchmont neighborhood. The fourth annual event is a fundraiser, organized by David Rhodes and teenage student Leo Viscomi, a longtime Rhodes student and part-time employee, in support of the Harmony Project, Los Angeles’ largest nonprofit organization solely dedicated to music education for youth in low-income communities. If you’d like to join in the musical fun, or make a donation, contact http://www.rhodesschoolofmusic.com/contact/ And if you live in Larchmont village and hear beautiful holiday singing on your streets on Thursday….please open the door, smile and enjoy!
