Although the summer months may still seem far off, unless you want a house full of restless children, it’s time to start thinking about your family’s summer plans.  Looking for a full-day five-week program? Hoping for something local that won’t have you driving all over town? Trying to provide well-rounded days that will keep your children stimulated, happy, and learning?

Marlborough Summer School offers a wide variety of opportunities for girls and boys, grades K-12.  From art to science and from creative writing to sports, Marlborough’s Summer School will inspire, challenge, and excite students as they discover new talents or build on existing ones.

The Marlborough Summer School program emphasizes Art, Smart, and Heart. Art classes, like Anime, Cartooning, and Comic Book Creation will teach students to express themselves through dance, painting, and music. Smart classes, such as Poetry: Create Your Own Portfolio, will reinforce skills, challenge students’ abilities, and take them beyond traditional classroom learning. Heart classes, including Fencing and Gymnastics will get students moving and developing their physical selves and well-being.

Who can attend? Marlborough Summer School is open to all students entering grades K through 12 in September 2013. Some classes are designated by grade, others by ability. Swimming classes for children age 1 and up are also offered.

When is Marlborough Summer School? Two sessions are available. Classes in the one week session will take place June 17 to June 21, 2013. What about sports camps? Marlborough Summer School will offer one-week day and evening time sports camps from June 17 – June 21, in addition to classes during its regular summer session. Sports camps include basketball, water polo, tennis, soccer, and volleyball.

Is lunch available? A variety of fresh breakfast, lunch, and snack foods are served daily at Marlborough’s Café M and are available for purchase. Lunch is included for all students enrolled in afternoon classes during the five-week program.  This lunch will be served buffet style. Working closely with our nutritionist Anna Bullet, we have created a menu that promotes healthy eating, is child-friendly, and provides students with a variety of choices. All of our hot entrees are cooked from scratch daily using fresh, natural ingredients.
