It’s spring and everyone seems to be cleaning out their closets: a number of yard sales around the greater Hancock Park area are planned this weekend.
Windsor Village, south of Wilshire and east of Rossmore, is having a community-wide sale on Saturday, April 20th from 9am – 2 pm. Featuring household items, furniture, baby & children’s items (including clothing, toys, twin gear), bicycles, and much more. WV resident Laurie Kaufman has organized the event which will include homes at #802 S. Plymouth Blvd., #816 S. Plymouth Blvd., #838 South Plymouth Blvd.  #900 South Windsor Blvd., #931 S Windsor, #824 and #828 Lorraine Blvd.
Up a bit north, a family at 112 S Plymouth Blvd is downsizing toward retirement and selling contents of their Larchmont area house on Sunday, April 21, 2013, from 9am – 3pm at 112 S. Plymouth Blvd. Included in the sale are carpets, dining set, furniture, dish ware, clothing and more.
If you can’t make it out to roam yard sales this weekend, there’s another opportunity next: the 10th annual 300-family Garage-A-Rama Fundraiser for Larchmont Charter School, Saturday, April 27 8am-2pm at the school’s Hollygrove Campus, 815 N. El Centro Ave (corner of Vine and Waring.) The huge sale will feature clothing, electronics, sporting goods, housewares, and children’s items and will provide a highly appreciated opportunity for the surrounding neighbors to buy clothing and goods for their families.
