The Crumbs Bake Shop on Larchmont Boulevard opened for business about 10 days ago under new management. The Larchmont store is one of 25 U.S. stores scheduled to re-open over the next month – the only one in California.
Crumbs closed across the United States in early July, 2014. Within days of the announcement that Crumbs was going under, Marcus Lemonis, host of CNBC’s “The Profit”, partnered with Fischer Enterprises, owners of Dippin’ Dots and Doc Popcorn, to rescue Crumbs under the banner of Lemonis Fischer Acquisition Company. At the time of the acquisition, the new owners said that they would be back in business within 90 days…and they re-opened right on schedule.
Employees at the store were greeted by lots of happy customers on Sunday…many just stopping by to say how happy they were to see the store open again. For right now, shoppers can expect to see many of the familiar Crumbs products they are accustomed to. In time, other Fischer Enterprises products will be sold at the store – including Dippin’ Dots and Doc Popcorn.
