Larchmont shops are getting in the holiday spirit with some special holiday events.

DU/ER Hosting Community Paint Friday, November 10 from 3-5 pm

DU/ER Performance Apparel is hosting another Community Paint this Friday, November 10 from 3-5 p.m. at its shop at 129 N. Larchmont Blvd. If you missed it last time, here’s your chance to express your creativity and make a one-of-a-kind gift for someone special! Local artist Chloe Glueck is a wonderful teacher as well as a talented artist. Glueck will be teaching how to use sustainable paints and notions to decorate clothing. We loved the Buzz bag she helped us design at the last event.

The event is free, and guests will each receive a tote bag to create their own signature design. Light refreshments will also be served and attendees will get 15% off on items in the store.

Spaces are limited, click here to RSVP.

And, if you’re not around this Friday, you can catch the next Community Paint on Friday, December 15 also from 3-5 p.m. Click here to reserve your spot.

Holey Grail Donuts is stocked with Dandelion Chocolate now through December 31st.

Holey Grail is Hosting San Francisco’s bean-to-bar chocolate maker, Dandelion Chocolate

Now there’s another reason to stop by Holey Grail Donuts. Starting on November 1st, Holey Grail Donuts is hosting a holiday popup with San Francisco’s bean-to-bar chocolate maker, Dandelion Chocolate at their Larchmont shop through December 31, 2023.

The pop-up will include two special offerings: Dandelion’s Mission Hot Chocolate beverage, made with Holey Grail’s house-made cashew milk, Dandelion’s mission chocolate, warming spices and topped with coconut whip cream. We tried this when we stopped in, and it’s pretty delicious!

We discovered Dandelion Chocolate on a visit to San Francisco and if you are serious about chocolate, you must check this out. If you already know about the brand, this is a great chance to stock up for yourself or delicious holiday gifts. We did both! We are partial to the ground chocolate, their version of cocoa, and the chocolate nibs. But the Mint Meltaways and Chocolate-Covered Carmelized Almonds could become our new favorites.

To go with your Mission Hot Chocolate, try the Mission Hot Chocolate Donut made with Dandelion chocolate, pasilla chile, spices, vanilla bean and topped with toasted marshmallow.

The shop will donate 20% of sales of the Mission Hot Chocolate Donut to The Waipa Foundation, whose mission is to restore and educate the youth about vibrant natural Hawaiian food resources like taro farming, as part of Holey Grail’s Breaking Bread, the flavor series that brings people together to create masterful donuts and conversations. A percentage of proceeds from each Breaking Bread collaboration is donated to a charity.

Holey Grail is also offering special holiday donuts, including:

  • Life of Pie – Kabocha squash, pumpkin pie spice and vanilla bean, available from 11/9 – 11/29
  • Naughty List – Hawaiian vanilla bean cookie glaze, charcoal streusel, available from 11/30 – 12/31
  • Saffron Snickerdoodle – Saffron, cinnamon and vanilla sugar, rolled, available from 12/21 – 1/18

Holey Grail Donuts is offering the Dandelion Chocolate collab items from November 1 – December 31 at both LA shops – Larchmont (148 N Larchmont Blvd) and Santa Monica (2441 Main Street).

Larchmont Faherty Brand Store Hosting Thanksgiving Donation Drive

Faherty Brand is hosting a Thanksgiving Food Drive Donation through November 18 at their Larchmont shop at 219 N. Larchmont.

“We are super excited to be able to participate in this event to help families in need during the holidays. Donate a can or two or whatever your heart desires!” Larchmont Faherty shop manager Marcia Salas told the Buzz. All proceeds will be donated to the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank.

And, by donating and making a purchase at the shop, you will be entered into a raffle to win a Faherty Brand High Pile Fleece Blanket.
