Multiple fire engines careened and screamed through Hancock Park Sunday afternoon, responding to an electrical fire in the elevator at 590 N. Rossmore Avenue. Apparently, the building fire alarm did not sound; the mid-afternoon call came from a resident of the apartment building.
Engine companies from distant stations were alerted as the Fire Department was “stretched thin” on Marathon Day. Eight engines descended on the address from far-away stations to serve Hancock Park — making Rossmore especially red on Valentine’s Day.
