Pop Up Clothing Shop on Larchmont

Julian Medina has opened a clothing pop on Larchmont next door to Vernetti Restaurant.

Julian Medina and his mom were hanging clothes and setting up the displays in Medina’s new pop-up shop on Larchmont when we walked in yesterday afternoon. Medina is a former clothing manufacturer who is popping up in the formerly empty space next to Vernetti Restaurant until a new long-term tenant begins construction on the space. (We got the news of the new tenant several months ago, but have been waiting for the tenant’s permission to write about them.)

Medina explained that he’s selling basics made in LA from organic materials that he manufactured for a designer line sold at Bergdorf Goodman. There are alpaca and silk sweaters, cotton waffle weave tops, pants, shorts and dresses. He said he has taken another job now and is using this opportunity to sell his remaining inventory.

“The style is like James Perse but from the Hamptons,” said Medina.  Everything is roughly 1/2 off the retail prices, ranging from $25 to $125 and up.

Medina is open from 4:30 – 8:00 p.m. for as long as his friend, the building owner, will let him be there.
