January never seems to sneak up on me.
Being an East Coast transplant, I always have to stop and think – what month is it? The weather in LA doesn’t give me the obvious signs it does to people in other parts of the country. Here we are – a few days into January and it’s 85° out…if we hadn’t just had the roar of the holidays, we might mistakenly think it was August with a few months of this hot weather ahead.
Even though it’s so unseasonably warm – I know automatically that January is here! December blows so loud and clear that you can’t help but remember that you are just past it – that it’s January. This month becomes a welcome period to get organized and reset for the year ahead.
With that in mind, this terrific video about consignment has me motivated! Lifestyle expert Sally Horchow, the curator and host of the website Very Good Looking visited Larchmont Village’s consignment boutique Ampersand and really shows us how it’s done! Ampersand is owned by Laura Armstrong and is one of the charming, unique businesses on the south east corner of Larchmont at Melrose.
I didn’t know much about consignment in our area…thanks to Very Good Looking and Ampersand for making it all seem so simple in this video. I’m off to clean out my closet!
