Big Sunday’s Annual MLK Day Clothing Drive & Community Breakfast

Big Sunday’s Annual MLK Day Clothing Drive and Community Breakfast, Monday, January 16, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Get your 2023 off to a great start by helping out at Big Sunday’s Annual MLK Day Clothing Drive and Community Breakfast on  Monday, January 16, 2023, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.  For the first time since 2020, the event will be held in person at 24th Street Elementary School in West Adams.

“We’ll be filling and giving away 2,023 cold-weather clothing kits for unhoused people,” wrote David Levinson, Big Sunday Executive Director.  “And this year, we’ll also be doing some specially-requested school beautification. All the favorites will be back too: our Civil Rights exhibit, our Something in Common photo project, the awesome Blue Breeze Band, and breakfast for everyone. It’s all loads of fun and, as always, in the spirit of what Dr. King fought so hard for.”

All ages are welcome. Groups, too. You can sign up to volunteer or to purchase items on Big Sunday’s nifty registry here. (Items start at just $1!)

Big Sunday thanks their growing list of sponsors: Home Depot, TCW, UTA.  If you’re interested in sponsoring, please contact [email protected]. Sponsorships start at $500.
