Traffic along Beverly Boulevard came to crawl after a Toyota SUV was T-boned by an older model Honda sedan around 1:30pm Saturday.
According to the driver of the gray Honda, the white SUV was at the stop sign at Plymouth, heading south to cross Beverly Boulevard. It appears the SUV driver didn’t see the Honda heading west on Beverly and tried to cross  – leaving the Honda driver with no chance to avert impact. The SUV rolled and came to a stop in the middle of the eastbound lanes of Beverly.
LAFD, LAPD and LADOT were on scene. Paramedics attended to the driver and a young child from the SUV. The driver of the Honda was shaken, but alert. Air bags appeared to deploy on both cars.
Eastbound cars on Beverly were being directed south on to Beachwood Drive, east on 1st Street and then north any street east of Plymouth.
PRO TIP: Crossing busy streets in our area isn’t worth the risk! Think about making a series of right turns in order to get to your destination or cross at a light.
