Thanks to Buzz reader Rod Dean for sharing his early morning shot yesterday of the intersection of Irving and 1st where two cars collided at approximately 8 am, hitting the fire hydrant and producing a spectacular geyser of water. LAFD shut down the hydrant quite quickly, but not before residents in the area saw a river of water cascading down the streets toward Norton.
