Be careful of street crime in Hancock park . I pulled up to the curb in front of my first stop on Van Ness at 5am tues 11/11/2014 to wait for enough light to start work ( pool service ) . A dark green or black 5 series BMW with a loud muffler pulled up along side ( appox 6 inches away ) enough so that I wouldn’t be able to open my door . There were two Hispanic males in the car and the passenger had a gun , window down . My car wasn’t turned off yet and was still in the drive position . I believe he was about to hang out of his window and shove his gun in my face to rob me . For some reason he sat back down while looking at the driver and they slowly drove off , without robbing me.
