The Hollywood Reporter confirmed this week that the Los Angeles Police Department is investigating a shooting outside Paramount Studios.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, two people were shot by a suspect who fled the scene by car before police arrived in an incident that “appears to be gang related,” said Officer Mike Lopez of the LAPD.
The shooting occurred at 8:10 p.m. Monday night near Van Ness Ave. and Lemon Grove Ave. around the block from the iconic Paramount Studios gates on Melrose Ave.
Both victims — one a teenager shot in the arm and the other an adult male shot in the stomach — have been hospitalized and are currently in stable condition.
The investigation is still ongoing, according to police. No further details were disclosed.
