Big Sunday Lemonade Stand to Raise Money for Three Good Causes

The helpful folks at the Big Sunday organization are hosting their first-ever “Lemonade Day” tomorrow, Tuesday, July 25, at Big Sunday’s Melrose Ave. headquarters (6111 Melrose Ave.), from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. You can stop by, buy some lemonade (with pay-what-you-can pricing), schmooze with some nice people and help raise money for Big Sunday’s Emergency Fund, which is currently collecting for three great causes:

1) Ralph, an elderly disabled vet in the Valley who needs a ramp up to his front door. ($350)
2) Althea, a single mom in Glendale whose house has no working toilet. ($375)
3) The VA in Westwood, which had an ancient, outdated computer room until Big Sunday refurbished it two weeks ago (with many of the vets there pitching in). Now the space is so popular, they need more chairs for the vets. ($625)

If you’d like to help, but can’t make it to tomorrow’s event, you can also host a Big Sunday lemonade stand (for kids or adult-friendly) wherever you are – just contact [email protected] for details.  You can also make a donation at …or send a check to 6111 Melrose, LA, 90038.

And if you’d like more information about the lemonade stand, donations, or other Big Sunday projects or information, contact Beenish at [email protected] or David McBride at [email protected].
