This coming Saturday, June 18, the Longwood Area Neighborhood Association (LANA) invites neighbors far and wide to its annual block party, from 4 to 7 p.m., on the 1100 block of Keniston Ave.
The extravaganza will feature dancing in the street with the Silver Mountain String Band, a bouncy slide and a raffle (with prizes including a 32″ flat screen TV).  Food available for purchase will include grilled cheese sandwiches from chef Mark Peel (of Campanile fame), Paulina’s Tacos, grilled gourmet corn from Me So Korny, hot dogs from Dog Gone It All, popcorn, snow cones…and much, much more.  The event is open to neighbors of all ages, including those from surrounding communities.  Event sponsors include Jen Stein Reality, Stonebridge IT, the UPS Store on Pico, and City Council Member Herb Wesson. Admission is free, but please bring cash for food and raffle tickets.
