Deasy Penner Podley opened its first real estate office on Larchmont Blvd. this month, taking the space formerly occupied by State Farm Insurance at 132 N. Larchmont Blvd.
Concierge Kate Squire told us the firm’s focus on architectural properties drew them to Larchmont, because it’s surrounded by historic homes with wonderful architecture. The office features a “living room” designed by Roberto Sosa, of Obra Design Studio, giving the firm the opportunity to showcase the work of various interior designers and provide a welcoming place for anyone who wants to stop in for a visit. The plan is to change out the space every quarter.
“We are a boutique company, more like a small, locally owned business,” said Barry Gray, Senior Partner and Wilshire Park resident. “We are like a mom and pop real estate office and everyone is welcome to come in and sit on our comfy couch.”

On the other side of the street, just a few doors north of its store, Buck Mason has relocated its business headquarters to 119 N. Larchmont Blvd. The space was formerly a Coldwell Banker Real Estate office, before that company consolidated its branches into one office, now located at 251 N. Larchmont.
When we stopped in this past week to visit Brand Manager Kyle Allen, we found a beehive of activity, with Buck Mason staff hard at work designing clothing, developing marketing materials and moving lots of stuff. The firm prides itself on its finished look, so we are waiting for official photos of the finished interior spaces.
Allen said staff members are enjoying their new home and all that Larchmont has to offer. Co-founder Sasha Koehn has also relocated to the neighborhood, said Allen, adding that “Buck Mason is all in Larchmont!”
