Yesterday, Â I had the good fortune to attend the Rose Parade with grandstand seats, allowing a wonderful view of the parade. Though it was a cloudy, chilly day, the floats were just as spectacular. If you ever have a chance to see the parade in person, take it, you won’t be sorry. It really is a one-of-a-kind LA experience. Here are some photos of the festivities, taken with my iPhone.
Thank you so much for the brilliant pictures. Amazing what clarity the little phones give us.
It saddened me not to see an acknowledgement of our own Raul Rodriguez, who spent a lifetime building The Rose Parade into what it is today. He has left a giant hole in the hearts of those who were blessed enough to know him well. The Christmas season in our neighborhood feels like something is missing.
So, as life marches on, I think we do well to remember those who gave so much to bring beauty love and pleasure to so many.
