According to the LAFD a fire broke out in one room of one of the majestic upper floor condos at Country Club Manor after 6pm on Wednesday evening. The original responding LAFD units were able to achieve knockdown in 13 minutes.
The condo where the fire broke out sustained significant fire and water damage. Several other units below have water damage from the run-off.
There were no injuries. Residents were immediately evacuated at the time of the fire and allowed to return to their residences around 8pm.
Country Club Manor is a beautiful French Chateau style building just north of Beverly on Rossmore Avenue, across from the Wilshire Country Club. The building was designed by architect Leland A. Bryant and completed in 1926.
