Fire Trucks (But No Fire) at Memorial Library

Screenshot of fire trucks at Memorial Library last night, from a video posted on the Citizen crime reporting app.

Some neigbors on social media were alarmed last night when a report came in about fire trucks at Memorial Library.  Luckily, however, the incident seems to have been minor, with nothing even showing up on the Los Angeles Fire Department’s report log.

Brookside resident Dana Peterson, who lives across the street from the library, told the Buzz this morning:

“The trucks were all gone within 10 minutes. I happened to be walking by with my dogs. I understand that someone thought they smelled burning plastic.

It was gratifying to see such a quick and thorough response for the sake of our neighborhood treasure.”

Definitely one case in which no news is good news!
