The Original Farmers Market: December Merchant of the Month – T&Y Bakery

Sponsored Post:

While The Original Farmers Market at Third and Fairfax has been Los Angeles’ favorite grocery shopping destination since 1934, its new Merchant of the Month program added a whole new dimension and value proposition throughout 2019. Each month a different merchant has offered a special promotion, including deals on everything from pastries and produce, to meats and marinades, for shoppers to maximize the Market’s exciting offerings.

This month’s spotlight is on T&Y Bakery, which has been a staple at the Farmers Market since 2006. Located across from Singapore’s Banana Leaf, the shop offers a wide array of exquisite breads baked fresh every day, as well as sweets and baked goods with strong inspiration from its owners’ Russian heritage.

Co-owner Rita Davidson is passionate about introducing customers to her savory piroshkis, the Russian staple consisting of fried, boat-shaped buns with sweet or savory fillings. Davidson and her team (Which includes husband Mike!) also offer hundreds of delicious items including cream puffs, baklava, and tiramisu. They also make 10 different kinds of bread from scratch, which can serve as perfect accompaniments for holiday meals.

All month long, shoppers who spend $15 or more at the shop get one loaf of bread for free! (Limit one per customer). This offer expires on December 31, but be sure to stay tuned for our first 2020 Merchant of the Month to kick off in the new year!
