Big screen, big sound, big ice, and even bigger mammals – all in a 3D experience that is sure to engage and enthrall:Â Titans of the Ice Age 3D: The La Brea Story.
As part of their campaign to freshen up the museum experience at the La Brea Tar Pits & Museum (also known as the Page Museum), the Natural History Museum is opening a new 3D theater on site at the La Brea Tar Pits on Wilshire Blvd.
Its debut film, Titans of the Ice Age 3D: The La Brea Story is a 20-minute, 3D adventure narrated by Christopher Plummer that reveals an icy world on the brink of extinction, full of saber-toothed cats, dire wolves, giant sloths and the iconic mammoths that lived 5,000 years before modern civilization. A visual feast and educational experience for both kids and adults alike.
The film opens to the public on June 20 and the NHM has extended a special offer to our area neighbors: anyone who books tickets online at www.tarpits.org/titans and uses the special promo code NEIGHBORS, will receive 50% off the movie ticket price. Advance tickets go on sale June 1, and the offer is valid through June 30.
