This Sunday evening the Ebell Club offers a rare opportunity to see great theater in an intimate setting with two remarkable actors, Jane Kaczmarek and Steven Weber performing a reading of “Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune.” The performance followed by a light supper, is open to the public.
The play, nominated for a Tony Award in 2003 for its Broadway production starring Stanley Tucci, focuses on two lonely, middle-aged people whose first date ends in bed. Johnny is certain he has found his true love in Frankie while she  is wary of the compulsive romantic – making for a comedic night of the exploration of love at mid-life.
Jane Kaczmarek, best known for her role as mother in TV’s “Malcolm in the Middle” will pair with Steven Weber, a familiar film, stage and television actor who starred in “Wings” in the early 1990s, are certain to make this an evening one of laughter and great theater.
Tickets are $35 for Ebell members and $40 for non-members, and include a light delicious supper.
