Actor Damon Wayans has bought a 1949 traditional in Hancock Park for $5.35 million according to the Los Angeles Times Hot Property Report.

Built in 1949 and extensively updated, the compound includes a main house, a guesthouse, a salt-water swimming pool, a pool house, stretches of lawn and mature trees on nearly half an acre.

The Traditional-style main residence opens to a towering two-story entry. The open-plan space is bathed in natural light. A formal living room features a black honed-marble fireplace and two bay windows. A breakfast room off the kitchen is outfitted with custom built-ins. The family/media room, which also has a fireplace, opens to the backyard. — reported the Times.

The real estate website reported:

The soon-to-be star of the Lethal Weapon TV series has purchased a grand, Paul Williams–style property located on one of the most coveted streets in the Hancock Park neighborhood, with five bedrooms and seven baths. A stylish main house, built in 1949, features a bright and open floor plan bathed in natural light. In the formal living room, a marble fireplace sits near two large bay windows. A chef’s kitchen and breakfast room with custom built-ins is the ideal gathering spot for any family (especially one as big as the Wayans family!), while the family/media room also has its own fireplace. It opens out to the backyard, providing a sense of indoor/outdoor flow.
