The Original Farmers Market: February Merchant of the Month – Green Maya Coffee

Sponsored Post:

The Original Farmers Market, Los Angeles’s favorite grocery spot since 1934, has been a trusted place for families to shop and dine for generations, and its Merchant of the Month program is the perfect way to continue celebrating small businesses and the rich history of the landmark. Each month throughout the year, a different vendor will feature a special offering, with deals on everything from meats and spices to produce and sweets. It’s the perfect way for shoppers to take advantage of all the Market has to offer!

On a stroll through the Market, it’s hard to miss the new Green Maya storefront with its welcoming bright green logo and delicious-smelling notes of rich, single-origin coffee roasting in the air. The Farmers Market location is the first Los Angeles outpost for the internationally renowned roaster, and owner Marius Daniel Popa, who sources 100% organic single origin, specialty fair trade beans from South America.

Popa and the Green Maya team believe the best coffee comes from the best relationships, so forget the middleman; the store works directly with family-owned plantations and even Mayan, Incan, and Columbian indigenous tribes.

All month long, shoppers who spend $30 or more at the store will receive a free, 8oz bag of single-origin organic coffee. This offer expires on February 29 but be sure to stay tuned for our next featured Merchant of the Month in March!
