The Original Farmers Market, Los Angeles’s favorite grocery spot since 1934, has been a beloved place for families to shop and dine for generations, and itsr Merchant of the Month program is the perfect way to continue celebrating small businesses and the rich history of the landmark. Each month throughout the year, a different merchant will feature a special offering, with deals on everything from meats and spices to produce and sweets. It’s the perfect way for shoppers to take advantage of all the Market has to offer!

Mark Hames, Owner

This month’s spotlight is on Itty’s Cheese, one of the new kids on the block at the Farmers Market that has already become a community favorite for its friendly atmosphere and employee expertise on all things cheese. Owner Mark Hames spent years popping up at Southern California farmers markets, showcasing his knack for sourcing the best products the state has to offer. At Itty’s, customers will find shelves filled with beautiful, small batch provisions – including goat’s and cow’s milk cheeses, artisan jams and spreads, and handcrafted serving boards and knives. Unsure what flavors go best together? The staff has great ideas for charcuterie boards and picnic essentials for any budget.

All month long, shoppers who spend $35 or more on take-home items get a pound of smoked gouda and a Farmers Market tote for free! (Limit one per customer). This offer expires on January 31, but be sure to stay tuned for our next featured Merchant of the Month in February!
