The central gathering area at last night’s Taste of Larchmont, which included ticket sales, several of the food vendors and some very welcome tables and chairs for hungry customers.
So. Much. Wonderful. Food. The 2018 Taste of Larchmont, the Boulevard’s big annual fundraiser for Hope-Net, which took place last night, is now history…but great memories linger for those of us who came out for a taste. Or, more accurately, dozens of them. This year’s event was blessed with cooler temperatures, even more and better food offerings, and possibly slightly lighter crowds than in past years. In short, it was (in our humble opinion) more enjoyable than ever.  Here are some of the sights and delicacies…
The traditional balloon arch welcoming hungry patrons
Hope-Net volunteers Patti Carroll and Shirlee Fuqua with City Council Member David Ryu, at the raffle table. (Winner of the raffle’s grand prize – dinner for two at 12 great local restaurants – was Hope-Net board member Brian Milder. Stephanie Simon won the silent auction prize – a private shopping event at Trink Turk.)
Hope-Net board member Bill Gaddy, in appropriate costume for the pirate-themed event.
Like the rest of us, Gaddy’s mascot was “stuffed”, too.
Even pirates get hungry.
Pizza! (At…where else…Larchmont Pizzeria.)
Ice cream! (Which is a perfectly acceptable in mid-dinner bite at this event.)
A lovely gazpacho at Le Pain Quotidien…
…before trying to decide among the lovely desserts.
