The winter “Snow Ball” at the Ebell of Los Angeles is making a comeback – with a twist – this year.
In the 1960s and 70s, elegant women wore rose hand muffs, and a quartet played Frank Sinatra.
This year men will be wearing everything from black tie to sharkskin suits and women could be in short sequined dresses or billowing ball gowns. Dining and dancing to the 15 piece orchestra, The Esquires, will round out the evening.
Patty Hill, President of the Ebell Club, shared her excitement about the Snow Ball festivities with the Buzz.  “There will be a a fun snow ball toss, (no, not with real snow) with winners getting festive boxes of chocolates.  After an elegant dinner,  specialty desserts will be offered including  slices of Yule Log cake or “spiked snow cones” in flavors of Cherry Manhattan, Margarita, or Vodka Cointreau.”
The Snow Ball starts at 6 pm with cocktails, a gourmet dinner in the dining room at 7:15 pm, and the “Grand March” to the ballroom at 8:30 pm. Tickets are $80/person and include wine with dinner.
The event is open to the public, not just Ebell members. Reservations: 323 931 1277 #131, or online at Ebell Events
