Emergency Training Exercise Saturday at Paramount

On Saturday, December 5, from 7am to 2pm, a joint Paramount Pictures Security and Los Angeles City first responder training exercise will take place on the studio lot.

“We want the neighbors to be aware this is a training exercise so they are not alarmed and also there may be more traffic congestion on Melrose since emergency vehicles will be entering and exiting the studio lot using Melrose,” Andrea Ceragioli, the Executive Director of Community Relations told the Buzz Friday afternoon.

The training will include roughly 150 emergency first responders from Paramount Security, the Los Angeles Police Department and the Los Angeles Fire Department.  LAPD and LAFD vehicles will enter and exit the lot through the studio’s gates on Melrose Ave throughout the day.

Locations affected by the exercise include:
·       Paramount’s Melrose Gate at the intersection of Melrose Ave and Windsor Blvd.
·       Paramount’s Bronson Gate at the intersection of Melrose Ave and Bronson Blvd.
·       Van Ness Ave between Melrose and Santa Monica Blvd.

There may be a slight delay if traveling through the affected areas.  The studio lot will remain open for normal business during the training exercise.
