Girls will now have an opportunity to learn and play lacrosse locally, with the Hollywood Bears Lacrosse program expanding to create a girls’ league for kindergarten through fifth graders.
Lacrosse has been one of the fastest growing team sports in the US, with high school and college teams being formed across the country at a record pace. Until the 2011 establishment of the Hollywood Lacrosse program for boys, there was no local chance to learn the quick paced, agile sport  locally. The Hollywood boys team has grown to 50 players, and now it’s time to offer the same to girls.
All girls, from kindergarten through fifth grade, are invited to attend the Girls’ Youth Lacrosse Free Clinic in the Lower Field of Pan Pacific Park, Sunday August 25th from 9 am – 12 noon to learn the basics of throwing, catching, scooping and cradling. Lacrosse sticks will be provided to players for use that day. RSVP your participation to Robert Woodley, 310-613-2762 or via email.Â
