Over 200 neighbors gathered for a Larchmont Village Neighborhood Association block party last Saturday on Bronson Avenue. Organizers Bruce Walker and Adam Rubenstein were delighted with the turn-out of residents.
“I feel like this was the most successful block party I’ve organized,” said Bruce Walker, local realtor and former neighborhood association president who started hosting block parties when he was living on Irving Blvd. and who also performed with his band.
“We gave raffle tickets to every family who signed in and got information about the HPOZ,” said Karen Gilman, LVNA board member who also manned the association’s booth with information their efforts to secure a Historic Preservation Overlay Zone (HPOZ) for the neighborhood that runs from Beverly to Melrose and Arden to Wilton.
Lots of local businesses stepped in to support the block party by providing food, fun activities and raffle items. Here’s a list of those who made contributions:
