Reminder: CD4 Candidate Forum – TONIGHT

Just a reminder that the first CD4 candidate forum in our area will be taking place tonight, January 13,  at 6 p.m. at the Greenway Court Theater, 544 N Fairfax Ave.

The event, organized by the Mid City West Community Council, will feature the two challengers in the race: Sarah Kate Levy, a writer/women’s advocate, and Nithya Raman, leader of a homelessness non-profit organization. (Incumbent Councilmember David Ryu will not be there, due to a scheduling conflict.  His staff told the Buzz he will participate in future forums.)

The event is free and open to the public, but organizers are asking everyone to RSVP because seats are limited.  Refreshments will be catered by Canter’s Deli.

Doors open at 6:00 p.m., and the program begins at 7.

After opening remarks from each candidate, freelance journalist and local resident Marissa Gluck will present questions from stakeholders. Some questions will be collected at the event, but people can also submit questions in advance at https://forms.gle/e2QMxTrTodZRBFReA.
